About 3,000 fans of South Korean actor Park Bo Gum attended the first leg of his Asian tour in Malaysia on Saturday at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. The 10-nation tour would end in China, indicating the high chances of the Hallyu ban already lifted by then.

One of the highlights of the fan meet was when the 23-year-old actor sang “My Person.” Fans noticed Park Bo Gum teary-eye. “My Person” is one of the songs on original soundtrack of the Korean drama “Love in the Moonlight.” The actor was the lead star of the hit Hallyu and sang the composition by Kim Se-jin.

Upon its release in October 2016, “My Person” topped the charts of Melon, Mnet, Bugs, olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver and Monkey 3. “Love in the Moonlight,” aired by KBS 2TV, had high ratings and got the approval of critics and TV viewers that KBS wanted it extended to 20 episodes from the original 18 episodes.

Park Bo Gum also shared some stories behind his other hit dramas such as “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” and “Reply 1988,” Kpopherald reported. Other songs he sang included d.ear’s ballad “December 24.” The actor showed his “boombastick” dance move.

The rest of his fan meets would be held in Jakarta, Taipei, Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore and an unidentified city in China. Blossom Entertainment, the agency of Park Bo Gum, has yet to announce details of these fan meets.

However, according to The Star, the Singapore fan meet would be held on Feb. 18, 2017, at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre. Like Malaysia, it would be his first visit to Singapore. Tickets cost S$228, S$198 and S$158, plus a ticketing fee of S$4.

In the Malaysia fan meet, Samsung Mobile Malaysia gave free tickets to Park Bo Gum’s fan meet. The winners had to submit a video dancing to Park Bo Gum’s “Bombastic” song he sang in “Love in the Moonlight,” must contain a visible Samsung Galaxy smartphone and uploaded to Instagram or Facebook public account.
