A different set of "The Voice" coaches will soon in a battle to develop the abilities of aspiring singers in Season 12 of the NBC reality singing competition. With Gwen Stefani reprising her role as a coach, viewers can expect to see interesting interactions between boyfriend Blake Shelton and other judges.

"The Voice" Season 12 will be another exciting installment of the long-running NBC reality singing competition. Stefani is set to reclaim her seat on the judges' panel, alongside returning coach Alicia Keys and veteran judges Shelton and Adam Levine.

Stefani's impending return to "The Voice" Season 12 will mark the singer-songwriter's third time to join the NBC show. The "Used to Love You" crooner first joined the reality singing competition in Season 7 that aired during the latter part of 2014.

Returning to the show for the second time in Season 9, Stefani's mentee Jeffrey Austin even reached the final rounds of the NBC competition. However, it was Team Adam's Jordan Smith who was crowned the winner.

Meanwhile, Stefani's boyfriend Shelton recently gushed over the "No Doubt" singer's impending return to the reality singing competition. In a press conference following the season 11 finale of "The Voice," the country singer admitted how much he wanted to have his girlfriend beside him in the show.

Apart from "obvious reasons," having Stefani back to "The Voice" will add a different kind of coaching perspective that future contenders will benefit from given her unique musical style, Entertainment Tonight quoted Shelton as saying. He stated, "There's never been a coach that represents the style of music that Gwen does."

In other news, Paul Telegdy, president of NBC Entertainment's Alternative and Reality Group, conveyed his excitement over Stefani's return to "The Voice." In a statement, as obtained by E!News, he commented on the unique dynamics and interactions between Stefani, Shelton, Levine and Keys that viewers will soon witness in the NBC reality singing competition.
