K-Pop boy band SEVENTEEN leader S.Coups, whose real name is Choi Seung Cheol, said he is an avid viewer of tvN's much-talked about fantasy series "Goblin." The 21-year-old idol admitted this to his fans during the group's Naver V Live broadcast on Dec. 20, Tuesday.

Despite S.Coups' busy schedule, the Kpop idol made sure to find time to watch "Goblin." He admitted that he is enjoying the tvN drama, which stars Gong Yoo and Kim Go-Eun, to the point that he slightly cut down his sleeping hours just to watch it.

"I watch it whenever I can," S.Coups said. "I cut down on sleep to watch it."

S.Coups then revealed that a fan recently gave him a collection of ballads that appeared in the tvN drama. He added, "I'm reading it these days and there is a memorable poem in it, called 'The Horizon.' I was so moved."

Debuted on May 26, 2015, the 13-member boy group is busy promoting "Boom Boom," which is the title track of their third mini-album "Going Seventeen." The said track recently ranked number five on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart, Soompi reported.

Meanwhile, tvN finally said the mascot doll, which was featured in "Goblin" episode 5, was completely Korean. This comes after many viewers mistook the doll to be Japanese and deemed it improper, considering the show's plot heavily revolves around Korean indigenous folklore.

The scene in question showed Ji Eun-Tak (Kim) asking Kim Shin (Gong) to get her a stuffed toy from a Japanese shop as a gift. Thinking the doll must be a Japanese item, viewers quickly protested citing Japanese colonial occupation of Korea.

Hence, an official from tvN finally shed some light on the matter. Speaking before a group of local media, as cited by The Kpop Herald, the network clarified the doll was designed and made in South Korea particularly for the drama.

It added that the Japanese shop only supplied the venue for the scene, but was otherwise unrelated to the doll. The mascot doll, who goes by a name Bogle Gel, can control water and fire, but lives in hiding for the sake of maintaining peace. Its clothing is intended to look like a buckwheat jam, which is goblin's favorite food.
