Asus has arranged 'Zennovation' press conference at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) on Jan. 4 2017 to unleash its latest innovative products. The Taiwanese company is expected to launch Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom among other products.
According to the official Asus Press Room website, the company has planned two events at two different places on the same day. Asus press event will take place at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas and Asus Media Lounge will be held at Trump International Hotel.
Rumors have it that the company may launch a ZenFone smartphone. The Asus ZenFone3 Zoo has been in the rumors since quite some time.Asus has not disclosed any details about its upcoming smartphone but earlier this month, ZenFone 3 Zoom device was spotted receiving TENNA certification in China. Its specifications have surfaced through TENNA listing.
Not only in China but also in the US, the ZenFone 3 Zoom has been approved by FCC (Federal Communications Commission). It is expected to support AT&T and T-Mobile networks in the U.S..

Based on the TENNA and FCC listings, the model number of the device is Asus Z01HD.It will be sporting a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display carrying a resolution of 1920 x1080 pixels. It will be covered with 2.5D glass.
Having a thickness of 7.99 mm, it is pegged to come packed in an aluminum body with dimensions 154.3x 77 mm.The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is expected to receive power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset that includes 2.0 GHz CPU.
It is likely to come in three variants of internal storage and RAM such as 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB respectively featuring 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. It will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.
In terms of camera, it will be having a dual rear camera of 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel with dual LED flash. It will support 2x optical zoom according to the images revealed through TENNA listing, Phone Arena reported.
When it comes to battery backup, the ZenFone 3 Zoom will be arriving with a mammoth 4,850 mAh capacity battery. Asus is also expected to unveil ZenFone AR, a Google Tango ready smartphone.According to Asus CEO Jerry Shen, "ZenFone AR will come with advanced functionality and performance at a competitive price,"
