Kyoto-based game maker Nintendo has kept their end of the bargain as they recently shelled out a sneak peek to one of the backdrops in the upcoming game suggesting that the latest installment is likely to feature changing seasons during gameplay.

The latest promo photo shows the hero, Link as he set camp in a snow-laden area while he looks over the picturesque horizon, Dualshockers noted. Prior to the said preview, Nintendo also released a Holiday-themed video of the game featuring the protagonist turning his round shield into some sort of a snowboard as he slid down the snowy mountain.

In line with these, the company also posted rough colored sketches of the hero elf's latest incarnation. It's a known fact by now to fans that the new Link will be sporting a blue-colored top that pretty much veered away from the usual viridescent hue, iDigital Times quoted. The first image depicts Link wielding a bow whilst the other render shows him sporting his sword.

It is also said that Link could have two more tunics with varying color schemes that are believed to be red and green. Rumor mills suggest that Link might be imbued with additional abilities in the event that he dons the aforementioned color variant other than the default blue clothing. The game itself, on the other hand, is believed to be intertwined with the events in the "Twilight Princess" as there was a teaser that was released earlier this month that featured the Calamity Ganon catastrophe that took place a century ago.

Meanwhile, it has grown to become quite a penchant with Nintendo to release bits of info about their upcoming title at a steady rate albeit the game's undisclosed release date.

Nevertheless, it is speculated that "Breath of the Wild" might coincide with Nintendo Switch's March 2017 rollout giving its faithfuls a double whammy of a treat in the coming year.
