According to new report from China, Xiaomi is busy with the launch of its midrange smartphone which is rumored to arrive with flagship specs. It is likely to come with Snapdragon 821 chipset and 4.6-inch screen.
Sony has been offering high-end through its Xperia Compact lineup, and now Xiaomi is also expected to release a compact flagship device. For users who are still looking for the small smartphones with flagship specs, Xiaomi Mi S is on its way with all that you need.
The information about the device got leaked via promotional material. The leaks reveal that the device will come packed with high-end features. The information should be taken as a pinch of salt as there is no official announcement from Xiaomi yet.
Xiaomi Mi S Specifications, Features
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi Mi S smartphone is rumored to come with 4.6-inch screen with the full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will have a 2.5D curved glass on the top of its screen.
The device is said to come powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset. It will be coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage.
The Mi S phone is likely to sport 12-megapixel rear camera that will come with Sony IMX378 sensor. It is also expected to sport 4-megapixel front facing camera with support for full HD video recording.
It is rumored to come equipped with 2,600 mAh battery that will provide support for Quick Charge 3.0. The device measures 8.2 mm in thickness and weighs at 138 grams. The device is likely to come with fingerprint sensor which will be inbuilt on the home button, Android Pure reported.
Fresh news suggest that Xiaomi is preparing for the launch of Mi S. The Mi S moniker seems to be the codename of the device because Xiaomi has no products in Mi S category. Hence, the actual name of the product is expected to surface before the launch date.
The pricing and release date of Xiaomi Mi S is not known. Since the renders do not appear professional, it is likely that it is not a real product, GSM Arena reported.
