"Scream Queens" star Billie Lourd, who also happens to be the daughter of Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher, is going to take on a bigger role in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 8." Lourd made her "Star Wars" debut in "Episode VII: The Force Awakens" where she played Lieutenant Connix of the Resistance.

Lourd herself confirmed in an interview with /FILM that she will return to "Episode 8" as Lieutenant Connix. When pressed to reveal more about her role, Lourd said she could not say much but assured that she is definitely working on the eighth "Star Wars" movie.

She also added that she will have a bigger role compared to her "Where's Waldo-y" kind of appearance in "The Force Awakens." To refresh everyone's memory, Connix appeared in one scene in the Resistance base on the planet D'Qar. In that particular scene, she asks General Leia, "General, are you seeing this?"

When asked if she would have more screen time with her famous mother, who's a general on the Resistance, Lourd simply said "maybe."

Lourd currently stars in "Scream Queens" Season 2.

Meanwhile, "Star Wars Episode 8" will take place primarily on Ahch-To, the isolated planet where Luke Skywalker has been taking up residence. In Ahch-To, Luke is living with unusual neighbors in the form of aliens.

"The creatures have razor sharp teeth and are a mixture of the terrifying and the adorable. They're sort of like a bird mixed with a Gremlin," a source from My Entertainment World spilled about the aliens Luke is mingling with in Ahch-To. The aliens are further described as a "Star Wars version of a Furby." By their description, these Ahch-To aliens appear to be very cute, but they may also be very dangerous.

Other rumors tell of a large sea monster which Rey fights as part of her training with Luke. "Star Wars Episode 8" spoilers suggest that a huge part of the film will focus on Rey's meeting with Luke and learning the Force under his guidance and teaching.

"Star Wars: Episode 8" will open in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
