Many have been wondering how much is Carrie Fisher's net worth since she died on Dec. 27, Tuesday, due to heart attack. The "Star Wars" star has multiple careers as an actress, novelist and screenwriter, which led people to assume that she left a vast of fortune in her will.

Fisher's net worth was reported at $25 million, an amount that is lower when compared to her "Star Wars" co-star Harrison Ford, according to Go Banking Rates. It was reportedly her mistake because she signed away her likeness not to earn from "Star Wars" merchandise. Other sources reported her net worth at $5 million.

Billie Lourd, also an actress, is most likely to be named as the primary beneficiary in her mother's will. Fisher was not married to Billie's father Bryan Lourd.

A part of Fisher's net worth also came from her career as an accomplished novelist. She authored a semi-autobiographical novel "Postcards From The Edge" that was made into a film starring Meryl Streep. Her autobiography "Wishful Drinking" became a one-woman stage show and as an HBO documentary.

Fisher is also known for penning several of her memoirs, including "The Princess Diarist," where he revealed her three-month love affair with Ford while filming the 1977 "Star Wars." The memoir was taken from her old diaries that talked about her intense relationship with Ford and her feelings.

Aside from "Star Wars," Fisher's net worth also came from her other movie projects such as "When Harry Met Sally," "Hannah and Her Sisters," "Soap Dish," and "Shampoo," among others. In 2015, she returned in the spotlight to portray the role Princess Leia in "The Force Awakens." Before her death, she already filmed for "Star Wars" episode VIII that is slated for Dec. 2017 release.

Fisher is credited for writing scripts of "Surrender the Pink" and "Delusions of Grandma." The actress also contributed to the scripts of "The Wedding Singer," "Hook" and "Sister Act."

It was not an easy life for Fisher, who had battled drug addiction and depression over the decades. In 1985, she was diagnosed with a bipolar disorder and became an advocate for mental health awareness.

When Fisher passed away, the family's spokesman Simon Halls released a statement on behalf of her daughter. She was survived by her daughter Lourd, her mom Debbie Reynolds, brother Todd Fisher, half-sisters Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher, and her beloved French bulldog, Gary.

"It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," Halls released the statement to People. "She was loved by the world and will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers."
