A lot of athletes, especially professional fighters, are now beginning to dabble in the field of cinema as well. A trend that began with popular professional wrestlers such as John Cena and Dave Bautista, the transition to acting has now caught on to mixed martial artists, with some noteable fighters to catch the acting bug being Todd Duffee and Anderson Silva.

Now, even boxers are making the switch from the ring to the silver screen. Boxing legend Mike Tyson is set to star in a film that is being made about the sport of kickboxing. While fight fans hoped that maybe Tyson would make an MMA appearance, they were out of luck, as he was simply preparing for his role in the upcoming "Kickboxer: Retaliation."

"Retaliation" is a remake of the second part of the classic trilogy from Jean Claude van Damme. Tyson is not the only fight legend to play a big role in this movie; however, as "Big Country" Roy Nelson is also training with him to take part in the film as well. Nelson will play the part of an inmate who teaches the character Kurt Sloane how to fight, the Daily Mail reported .

The primary purpose of the duo's training session though was not the film, as both men are ambassadors of the brand Copper Gel. Tyson posted a photo on his Instagram showing him and Nelson working on the heavy bag whilst wearing shirts that feature the Copper Gel logo.

They also will not be left behind by the latest trends as they also partook in a "mannequin challenge" at the King's MMA gym. In the challenge video, which is fight-themed, the two athletes pretend to trade blows as their posse pretend to take photographs and videos of the encounter.

Aside from Nelson and Tyson, a long list of fight fan favorites will also appear in the reboot of the action classic. Georges St-Pierre, Brian Shaw, Ronaldinho, and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson are also set to take part in the film along with the man himself van Damme, according to Men's Health.

While not many details have been revealed about the film as of now, it is certain that they will land heavy blows and huge take downs if they are ever placed in a fight.
