"The Originals" Season 4 will open with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and her daughter, Hope being in grave danger.

While speaking with Yahoo TV, executive producer Michael Narducci said that Season 4 will be all about putting family first. However, family love will also be put to the test when a scary entity is introduced in the hit The CW series. The villainous character is out to target Hayley and Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) daughter who will be seven in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Hayley and Klaus will be forced to fix their issues as soon as possible so they could both focus on Hope more. "Can Klaus Michaelson, in good conscience, be a father to this very powerful young witch who needs guidance and who needs a dad?" Narducci asked. By the looks of it, Klaus will still have lapses in becoming Hope's father.
In other news, Hayley will also have plenty of scenes with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) in "The Originals" Season 4. In an interview with TV Line, Narducci said that the characters will have the most dynamic journey throughout the upcoming episodes.
"They have one of the most dynamic journeys that we are going to have dramatized this season. Right away, you're going to see what Hayley is willing to do to get the final pieces of the puzzle to get Elijah and his siblings back," he said.
In his own words, the exec also explained the kind of relationship Elijan and Hayley have with each other. According to him, the two characters clearly love each other. However, they cannot be together because it could just complicate things. Additionally, Elijah is a hundred year old vampire, and Hayley is pretty new to being a hybrid so she still have values and ethics that are similar to human beings.
"When their family is put in jeopardy, these two people are going to do whatever they have to do to protect each other," he said.
"The Originals" Season 4 will premiere on The CW on March 17 at 9 p.m. EST.
