With just a few days in 2017 and Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly dropped the early big bombs for this year as she recently announced that she will be leaving her post in the said news outfit. It is said that she will be slated to be part the "Today" show in replacement of Billy Bush.

The program's chief - Noah Oppenheim was so involved in winning Kelly's nod that made TV pundits speculate that she will be placed on such time slot, Deadline reported. Moreover, the report also stated that the show needs some sort of a boost that is currently pretty much behind ABC's "Good Morning America" in terms of the total number of viewers.

It can be recalled that Bush was supposed to do the said task since he is observed to have commendable interviewing skills and a knack in pop culture. However, things went for the worse when a voice recording came out where he and president-elect Donald Trump were heard having a lewd conversation about how the latter treats women. Hence, the host was booted from the show.

In the interim, Kelly's exit in Fox News may be due to the unhealthy working relationship with her co-anchors and with the network itself, Daily Intelligencer has learned. Viewers might remember the tough questions that she flung to the then presidentiable Trump that later on turned into a word war. Furthermore, she took down Fox News CEO Roger Ailes by accusing him of sexual harassment that ultimately made him step down in July 2016.

Talks are now getting rife that a female anchor will still replace Kelly's post and some even believe that whoever is chosen by the network will be a supporter of Trump. As of late, Fox business news anchor Trish Regan is being prepped up to fill in Kelly's post once the latter leaves this coming weekend
