The Huawei Honor 6X global launch was announced at the CES 2017 event held in Las Vegas. It serves as the mid-range smartphone for the Chinese manufacturer to reach a wider spectrum of consumers.

According to UberGizmo, the Honor 6X will feature a less powerful processor, the Kirin 655 octa-core chipset. However, in exchange for this, the price is much lower compared to its high-end counterparts and will come in two variants: A 3GB RAM base product and a higher-tier 4GB RAM device.

The middle-level pricing for the smartphone offers a regular full HD resolution. However, despite the fact, the image quality still looks good and bright at 450nit and 1080p (1920x1080) resolution. While it does not feature a gorgeous 2K display, it has a neat feature that prevents eye fatigue by filtering out the blue light, and it can be activated in the settings.

Huawei Honor 6X has a 12MP + 2MP dual lens rear shooter camera. It offers a wide aperture range at f/0.95-F/16, and it can deliver a professional-grade bokeh effect. As for the front camera, it has 8MP and can get a wide 77 degrees angle, enabling group selfies as well as people video conferencing.

Furthermore, according to The Verge, the Honor 6X will also sport an Android Marshmallow operating system. However, it seems that the phone will also update to Android Nougat sometime during the first quarter of 2017.

As for its other features, it will include a 32GB internal storage as well as a 3,340mAh battery and a Micro-USB. The device is also available in three different colors: gray, gold, and silver, which offers a professional feel.

The Huawei Honor 6X 3GB variant is priced at $250 while the 4GB variant is at $300. The former does not possess a lot of capabilities when it comes to multitasking, and as such it is recommended to stick with the latter for a better investment.
