The LG G6 is confirmed and coming and the next flagship will reportedly be out before the Mobile world Congress 2017 as confirmed by LG Chief Technology Officer Skott Ahn.

The LG G6 will carry a different kind of look, indicating that the company will be moving away from the traditional modular design that the LG G5 had to offer. The current LG offering hardly made an impression and the company hopes to make up for that with the upcoming device.

The LG G6 has focused on aesthetics and usability bannered by an all-glass design, Phone Arena reported. Other rumored specs of the said device include the LG G6 sporting an OLED display screen, front-facing stereo speakers, and better cameras. Aside from those features, the LG G6 will also showcase the latest biometric features that would include a fingerprint and iris scanner and vastly improved battery for longer use.

The LG G6 is coming and it will happen pretty soon according to Ahn in a reported interview with the Wall Street Journal. With the MWC 2016 just around the corner, LG could be unveiling the device earlier similar to what Samsung has been practicing the past years.

With LG taking a page out of Samsung's playbook, the Korean company is likely to hold a separate event to present the LG G6. It is expected to be fairly similar to the “Unpacked” event that their rivals hold for their Samsung Galaxy S flagship series. The device is expected to be made available in regions that would include North America, Europe, and South Korea.

With regards to the potential retail price of the LG G6, the flagship will reportedly not be that different from the LG G5. This means that the upcoming flagship (unlocked) will likely be priced somewhere along the $500 to $600 range.

Ahn is optimistic about the LG G6 which hopes to be better than its predecessor. That remains to be seen with other detailed features (i.e. processor, RAM, storage) still unknown as of this writing.
