Nokia has returned to the smartphone business by releasing Nokia 6 Android smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is one of its major rivals. Here is a comparison between the two devices on the basis of their specifications, features and price.

Design and Display

The Nokia 6 wears a metallic unibody chassis made up of series 6000 aluminum. It measures 154 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm. it is only available in black color. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has chamfered edges on its unibody metal body. It measures 151 x 76. 8.4 mm.  It comes in varied color choices like silver, gray, gold, blue and black.

Both the smartphones have 5.5-inch IPS LCD screens that deliver full HD resolution. The Nokia 6 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 70 percent. The Redmi Note 4 has a larger screen-to-body ratio 72.7 percent. The Nokia 6 and Redmi Note 4 feature 2.5D curved glass.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The Nokia 6 has a Snapdragon 430 SoC that includes an octa-core processor works at 1.4 GHz and Adreno 505 graphics. The SoC is supported by 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 64 GB. The external storage slot of the device supports up to 256 GB of microSD card.

The Media MT6797 chipset (aka Helio X20) with its deca-core processor working at 2.1 GHz and Mali-T880 MP4 graphics powers the Redmi Note 4. The 16 GB and 64 GB models of the Redmi Note 4 features 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM, respectively. Users can add up to 256 GB of microSD on its device.

Camera, Software and Other Features

There is a 16-megapixel f/2.0 aperture lens that comes with features like PDAF and dual LED flash on the rear panel of Nokia 6. Its front is graced with 8-megapixel f/2.0 aperture selfie camera.

It comes loaded with stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat and its Home button houses a fingerprint scanner. It has twin speakers powered with Dolby Atmos.

The Redmi Note 4 has a 13-megapxiel f/2.0 aperture rear camera with features like PDAF and dual LED flash. Its 5-megapixel f/2.0 aperture front-facing camera.

It is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow flavored with MIUI 8.  Its rear houses a rear-facing fingerprint reader. It features a usual single speaker. Both the smartphones are dual-SIM devices.

Battery and Price

There is a 3,000 mAh battery inside Nokia 6 whereas the Redmi Note 4 is packed with a mammoth battery of 4,100 mAh. According to the official HMD Global press release, 64 GB Nokia 6 is available for 1,699 Yuan ($245). The 64 GB Redmi Note 4 is much cheaper with a pricing of 1,199 Yuan ($173), Android Central reported.
