Fans were ecstatic to learn that BTS' Suga has finally returned to perform with the K-Pop group. The idol suffered an injury last month that left him unable to perform at BTS' end-of-the-year events.

On Dec. 22, BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment released a statement, obtained by All Kpop, saying that SUGA will be missing from the group's year-end activities and events after suffering an ear injury at their dorm. The agency said that the rapper tripped over the edge of a doorsill and hurt his ear and doctors advised him to refrain from performances with the group until the wound heals completely.

After nearly a month, the idol has finally rejoined the group and performed with his bandmates at the 31st Golden Disc Awards, which kicked off on Jan. 13, Friday. The Bangtan Boys performed a number of their hits at the two-day event including, "No More Dream," "Boy in Luv," "War of Hormone," "Dope," "I Need U" and "Fire."

However, it was SUGA's return that was one of the major highlights of the evening for fans after the rapper's absence for several weeks. The idol was equally excited to make his return and his excitement was evident through his bright smiles at the awards ceremony.

This is not the first time the idol was forced to take a break from the group's activities due to health reasons. In 2013, SUGA was excused from BTS promotions as he had to undergo an emergency surgery, and in 2015, the group had to cancel their concert in Japan after both SUGA and V fell ill, as pointed out by Koreaboo.

SUGA's return was not the only highlight at the Golden Disk Awards. The Bangtan Boys won two honors at the awards show; the Global K-Pop Artist Award and the Disk Bonsang, which they won for the third consecutive year. Check out the group's performances at the Golden Disk Awards below:
