Samsung's Galaxy S8 specs are slowly being revealed through leaks and speculations. The latest is that it may receive an updated S Health app that will rival Apple's CareKit and HealthKit.

Earlier rumors claim that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have no flat screen variant when it launches. The base model will already have a dual-curved edge screen but there will be another variant with possibly more powerful specs and features.

Unlike the iPhone 7 from Apple, the Galaxy S8 will still sport the 3.5mm headphone jack when it launches. The removal of the jack in the Cupertino-based tech giant's new iPhone was a controversial move and led to many negative feedbacks even from its loyal fanbase.

Samsung may also launch the two Galaxy S8 variants with different screen sizes, BGR has learned. The base model is expected to have a 5.7-inch screen while the larger Galaxy S8 Plus will most likely feature a 6.2-inch screen. The downside is that they will use the same Quad HD 1440p resolution which means that the larger variant will have a smaller number for the pixel density.

Just like its predecessors, the new Android smartphone is expected to have different chipsets according to the region. Samsung may install their own new and improved Exynos chip while the international versions may feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.

One unique claim for the Galaxy S8 may be the improved S Health service, which would include a doctor appointment feature, Sam Mobile has learned. The new features are expected to help the Android smartphone compete with iPhone's Apple Health and even the close Google Fit apps.

Samsung has also integrated their new S Health app with Strava, Jawbone, Fitbit and other fitness trackers. The new service would also allow users to store the symptoms and notes for every appointment. Photos can also be saved for better comparison and diagnosis.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to be released around April. Samsung may finally reveal the Galaxy S8 specs and features at the upcoming MWC 2017.
