The upcoming "Grimm" Season 6 episode 3 will feature an interesting twist with Nick (David Giuntoli) using an old magic spell to try and stop Renard (Sasha Roiz). Latest spoiler news teased of Nick's unique transformation that may pave the way for the said protagonist and his team to defeat the police captain.
When "Grimm" Season 6 premiered in early December 2016, viewers witnessed the aftermath of Nick and Renard's tense encounter that ended with the detective being branded as a fugitive. Recent episodes of the NBC series featured Nick trying to evade police capture while Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) kept a close eye on the police captain who used his influential connections to catch Nick.
As the fight to stop Renard's rise to power continues, Nick will come up with a strategy to ruin some of his adversary's well-laid plans. A teaser clip posted on Spoilers Guide for "Grimm" Season 6 episode 3 showed Nick inhaling a magical green smoke to help him temporarily transform into Renard.
Titled "Oh Captain, My Captain," the upcoming episode will involve Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) working together to keep the spell intact. Moreover, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Adalind (Claire Coffee) will also do their part to support Nick while he imitates Renard.
Nick's plan to emulate Renard so he could defeat the said villain and clear his name might also turn into a confrontation between the two characters. Avid viewers may expect to see another tense encounter between the two rivals as Renard discovers Nick's tactics.
Meanwhile, avid viewers of the NBC series may soon see Renard's fall from grace as Nick's latest plan will impact the credibility of the police captain turned new mayor. In an earlier interview with TVLine, Roiz shared how his character's life will change drastically in the upcoming episode 3.
With Renard trying to find a support system that will back him up, the situation will also lead to the said character's deepening relationship with his daughter Diana (Hannah R. Loyd). Roiz stated, "His daughter plays a large role in his life ... There's this beautiful paternal instinct that kicks in in Renard whenever she's around."
