Seohyun, whose real name is Seo Ju-Hyun, has taken a big step up in her career. 10 years after she debuted as a member of Girls' Generation, the 25-year-old idol has finally made her debut as a solo artist.

Following Taeyeon and Tiffany's successful solo debut, Seohyun became the third Girls' Generation member to debut as a solo artist. She dropped her first extended play titled "Don't Say No" on Jan. 17, Tuesday, Billboard reported.

The mini-album consists of seven tracks titled "Don't Say No," "Hello," "Magic," "Lonely Love," "Love & Affection," "Bad Love" and "Moonlight." The title track is a 90s style R&B pop dance piece, which was penned by songwriters Matthew Tishler and Kenzie.

Interestingly, the remaining six songs on the mini-album were written by Seohyun herself. Since its release, the dramatic music video for "Don't Say No" has been viewed about 2.5 million times on YouTube.

Extremely pleased with the positive reception, Seohyun took to Naver's V app on Jan. 18, Wednesday, to get in touch with her fans at home and abroad. In the midst of the live broadcast, the Kpop idol candidly shared her thoughts about her solo debut.

"I feel really happy," Seohyun said. "It's like a dream come true. It has been days of excitement and joy since the beginning of the production of my solo album."

Seohyun, who has been with Girls' Generation since she was 16-year-old, has also ventured into acting. She recently played the last Princess of Later Baekje, Woo Hee, in SBS's "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo."

The 20-episode historical drama earned Seohyun a Special Acting Award at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards, Korean newsoutlet Star News reported. Following the awards ceremony, she posted a photo with her "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" co-stars on Instagram.
