Ubisoft has revealed that "Tom Clancy's The Division" will get a huge update for an upcoming expansion. The Legendary difficulty will be added to some missions with this new update.

The game company revealed on the official website of the video game that it will be getting a new large free update. Update 1.6 will bring some balancing tweaks to the video game, and it will also bring some big changes to it. It was also planned to be launched together with the recently announced Last Stand expansion.

Update 1.6 will be making big changes and additions to the Northern section of the map. With the update, the Dark Zone will be expanded with three new areas to explore. These areas are the Dark Zone 7-9, north of Dark Zone 6, and the Midtown East.

The update will add new Landmarks that will feature waves of enemies to defeat. After conquering these landmarks, the game will award the players with additional loot placed directly to their inventories. Another addition is the fast travel feature between Dark Zone checkpoints, which will be very convenient for them.

Another new addition with update 1.6 is the Contamination Events. These are random missions that will happen about every hour and will let players fight against an elite group of Cleaners in the Dark Zone underground. They will be forced to act quickly since the contamination levels are really high and then get to safety.

Dark Zone Leaderboards will be introduced with the latest update. It will track the activities and stats of the players on a monthly and weekly basis. These stats will be divided into three different categories, which are PvP, PvE, and the combination of the two.

For players who are looking for a harder challenge in this video game, the Legendary difficulty will be added to three missions. These missions are the Times Square, WarrenGate Power Plant, and the Napalm Production Site, which will feature new, powerful, and smart enemies. This new difficulty is intended for organized groups, and it will reward players with unique vanity items that are not available elsewhere in the game.

Ubisoft discussed on another post on the official website of "The Division" about the new expansion that the upcoming update will be launched together with, which was the Last Stand. They will add new ways for players to compete with other players, and a new way to experience the Dark Zone in a brand new separate game mode. It will be session based and will feature clear objectives and win conditions, while still incorporating the aspects of the Dark zone.
