Many fans became ecstatic over Dobrev's confirmed participation in the upcoming series finale of the CW show. Recently, "The Vampire Diaries" alum Anders hinted that another character with ties to Dobrev's Elena might also be appearing in the said episode.

The "iZombie" actor took to Twitter on Jan. 30, Monday, to tease of his potential filming activities in Atlanta. He wrote that he was expected to travel to the said location on Jan. 31, Tuesday, and asked his fans to "do the math."

Given that Atlanta is where "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) is being filmed, coupled with Anders' earlier role as Elena's biological father, many fans speculated that the actor is heading to the said show's set to shoot his scenes for the CW series' upcoming finale. Several Twitter users even posted the equation "You + ATL = TVD" in response to Anders' social media message.

Despite Anders’ Twitter post including the fans’ speculation that John might appear in the vampire series’ final episode, showrunners have yet to deny nor confirm the actor’s participation. However, Anders told Entertainment Weekly in an earlier interview that he is willing to reprise his role in “The Vampire Diaries.”

Meanwhile, the last time that viewers saw John was during the fifth season of the CW series. Having sacrificed himself in Season 2 to save his daughter, John reappeared in Season 5 as part of Katherine’s (Dobrev) hallucinations.

In other news, the upcoming “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 episode 11 titled “You Made a Choice to Be Good” will feature Cade’s (Wole Parks) new assignment for Damon (Ian Somerhalder), according to episode spoilers posted on Comic Book Movie. With an option to either bring 100 souls or only one, specifically Caroline’s (Candice King) soul, Damon will be faced with a tough challenge that will have severe consequences.

“The Vampire Diaries” airs every Friday on the CW. Watch the teaser clip below:
