The new promo video for "The Walking Dead" Season 7B premiere teases that the Saviors are up again to their usual trickeries. AMC dropped the new preview on Feb. 9, showing Rick and his group heading down the highway and stumbling upon new roadblocks set up by Negan and the Saviors.

In the preview, Rick, Tara, Rosita, Michonne and Carl are shown trying to build their strong coalition against the Saviors, only to run into obstacles one after another. It turns out that the literal roadblocks are courtesy of Negan and his gang.

The video shows that while Rick and the group are busy dealing with the first obstacle blocking their path, Michonne discovers another obstacle ahead of them, which looks far more testing than the first one. To cut Rick's group's trip, the tormentors have lined up rows of deserted cars on the highway. According to Digital Spy, Rick and his group will soon discover that the obstacles are actually a whale of a booby trap.

Titled "Rock in the Road," the premiere episode of the midseason will show how the psycho bat-swinging tormentor is capable of making Rick's life a hell even in his absence. The synopsis for Season 7B on TV Line reads, "The second half of the season will focus on preparing for war and gathering the supplies and numbers to take Negan down once and for all. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army."

The upcoming episodes will follow Rick and the other survivors as they travel to Ezekiel's Kingdom and the Hilltop Colony in secret, in hopes of gaining more allies in their rebellion. In one of his recent interviews, Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick, said the next half of Season 7 is so intense that while shooting one of the scenes, he couldn't help but drop his script and punch the air.
