One of rock music's iconic heavy metal acts that is Metallica has proven yet again that they will stop at nothing for their brand of music to be heard by their fandom - not even a defective mic at the Grammys. Frontman James Hetfield even made a point after the performance that may well seem to suggest that nobody messes with the group.

The group was slated to perform their single "Moth Into Flame" from their 2016 album "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" alongside Lady Gaga. The intro was a real crowd charger with distortion-heavy riffs and thunderous drum beats that were taken up a notch with Gaga's go-go antics.

However, just as when Hetfield is about to sing the first few lines of the song, his mic failed him treating fans with just the band's instrumentals and Gaga's voice. Like any other tenured acts who have experienced the same ordeal, Hetfield, in a cool fashion, approached Gaga as they shared the other mic to carry on with the performance, E!Online reported.

The pop singer, on the other hand, enjoyed every moment while it lasted as she was seen head banged and crowd surfed to the lit up audience. The Metallica frontman, maybe out of frustration, kicked the mic stand and trashed his guitar after the performance.

Prior to the event, Gaga even inked on her back a huge moth with a skull as its face expressing her excitement with the mashup, according to Billboard. The publication even contacted one of the singer's representatives to confirm if the tattoo was real. Gaga even took to Instagram the said body art to boast to her fandom such work.

For the uninitiated, Gaga was a dancer for Metallica and other rock acts prior to becoming a pop sensation. Watch Lady Gaga and Metallica's entire performance at the recently concluded 59th Grammy Awards here:
