Kid Flash might be zooming ahead in strength, trying to match up to The Flash, but his superpower might become a deal breaker when it comes to furthering his relationship with Jesse Quick. Actor Keiynan Lonsdale, who plays the Kid Flash on the show, has dished about the probably rocky future ahead for Kid Flash and his Earth-2 girlfriend.

Even though long distance relationships are known to be hard, Wally West has refrained from dating anyone on his own earth, despite a swarm of girls fawning over the Kid Flash recently. One of the reasons might be because he has been busy practicing the art of getting faster with the help of Harry and Barry. But another reason could be because he genuinely possesses feelings for Jesse Quick, the daughter of Harrison Wells from Earth-2.

The two have hardly had time to take their relationship to the next level, what with Jesse having to return back to her own world. However, all that is set to change with "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 13.

In the last episode, viewers saw Jesse travelling back to Earth-1 through a portal to inform Wally and his team that Grodd, the meta-gorilla, is back. In Episode 13, they will further discover that Jesse's father has been abducted, Super Hero Hype reported.

So, it seems unlikely that the Kid Flash and Jesse Quick will have a moment's relief to revive their relationship. It will also be the first time that Jesse finds out that Wally has transformed into a speedster.

According to Keiynan Lonsdale, the fact that both of them are now speedsters, responsible for far more than their own lives, will eventually become a major obstacle to their relationship, Cinema Blend reported.

"Relationships are difficult already. Long-distance relationships are difficult. And when someone's on a different Earth...[laughs] And then you add in the mixture of powers and this huge responsibility for these young people, and it weighs a lot on both of them," said Lonsdale.

Lonsdale also added that at the end of the day, both of them are superheroes and it is something they have to prioritize over everything else.

Will their responsibility to save the world end up ruining the Kid Flash and Jesse Quick's relationship? Find out when "The Flash" Season 3 returns next Tuesday, Feb. 21, only on CW.
