"Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana" gets new details on Hidden Elements, which are available in a second playthrough for the PlayStation 4 version. There are also details on what buyers of the PlayStation Vita will get as an advantage.
Falcom recently added new information on the official website of the video game on the Hidden Elements of the PS4 version that are not included in the PS Vita version. These items include additional dungeons for the Adol side, some new attack attribute modification accessories to loot, and a feature to change the number of people in the party.
For players who are able to clear the main story of the video game and will be starting their second playthrough, they will be able to visit new dungeons. They will be unlocked on the Isle of Seiren for Adol and his party to explore. They will encounter strong enemies in the areas closed out by the darkness.
After clearing some certain conditions on the second playthrough, players will be able to get special accessories. These items will be able to change the Slash, Strike, and Shoot attack attributes. These accessories will allow players to organize a battle party with their favorite characters while maintaining the balance of the fight.
Another addition to the PS4 version of "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana" is the ability to change the number of people in the party. Players can now set what is normally a three-person party to one-person or two-person party if they want to. They can explore the island as Adol, or go on an adventure with their favorite combination of two characters.
Falcom also revealed in another post on the official website of the video game the special downloadable content for buyers who purchased its PS Vita version. For Japanese buyers, they will receive a special DLC for use in the PS4 version of the game.
The DLC set will include items and accessories that will provide players with an advantage in the early to the middle parts of "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana." The PS Vita version buyers will also be able to gain access to the attack attribute modification accessories, and change the number of people in the party features. The two features were normally accessible only in the second playthrough, and this advantage will be available from the beginning of the game.
