This is possible after Dyson's $15 million deal with Sakti3, a company based on Michigan that provides cutting edge and low cost solid-state battery technology, Metro reported.

Dyson expresses his confidence on the company and said "Sakti3 has achieved leaps in performance which current battery technology simply can't."

"The Sakti3 team has amazing ambitions and their platform offers the potential for exponential performance gains that will supercharge the Dyson machines we know today", he adds.

The batteries are smaller than the typical Li-ion batteries that most devices use today. Instead of using the liquid electrolyte that is seen on Li-ion batteries, Sakti3's replaces them with a solid alternatives.

This advancement may result into smaller batteries, that is expected to provide smaller and more portable mobile devices that packs great amount of power.

Sakti3 also reveals that their solid-state batteries are safer and environmental friendly, thanks to its non-flammable metal coating. This also allows the batteries to be stored in higher temperatures.

According to Daily Mail UK that this investment will be the first outside the 63-year-old inventor's innovative vacuum cleaner business.

Dyson's cordless vacuum cleaners are said to house these batteries soon.
