California is facing a drought and ice is melting in the Arctic, but will this stop here? The answers is a big NO.
Scientists reveal that the current situation of global warming is causing more and more global warming, according to CBS News.The world is becoming a warmer place and this is causing the greenhouse gases like methane and carbon dioxide to have increased levels and emissions in the atmosphere. The scientists have used the data from the cores of ice which dates back to almost a million years in age and found that there is a positive feedback in climate, which means that a problem causes the amplification of itself and is now worsening the climate situation across the globe.
Even though the scientists can see a correlation in this regard, they cannot reach any causation of the same, Think Progress stated in its latest report. The greenhouse gases accumulate together and cause more depletion in the ozone layer, make the surface of the Earth more prone to the direct rays of sun, and hence, emitting more greenhouse gases, and this vicious cycle.
The Earth is a very complex planet and what is causing what is a rare mystery, which becomes very hard to prove at times. 2013 was the year which recorded the highest emission of the greenhouse gases, and there has been a major shift in the climate pattern after that.
Scientists fear that due to this vicious cycle, the plants and the oceans are nearing their saturation point.
