The brand new episode features the much anticipated arrival of Aunt Dahlia in present-day New Orleans. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) feels Dahlia's presence while walking around the streets of New Orleans with Jackson (Nathan Parsons) and baby Hope.

Dahlia briefly possesses Jackson to tell Hayley and Klaus that she is in town with the intention of taking what is hers which is their first-born child. The Mikaeson family members discuss their next move against Dahlia.

Elijah (Daniel Gillies) wants to create a new sanctuary, Freya (Riley Voelkel) wants to use Jackson to find out Dahlia's exact location while Klaus declares he will find a way to murder his witch aunt. Klaus asks Davina (Danielle Campbell) to help him find Mikael (Sebastian Roché).

Davina agrees to help after Klaus promised her that he will give his brother Kol's ashes to her so she can bring him back from the dead. Then, Klaus asks Aiden (Colin Woodell) to be his eyes and ears when it comes to protecting baby Hope while his hands are full.

Jackson tells Hayley about his plan of running away with baby Hope. Jackson explains to Hayley that the conflict between the Mikaelson family members is not their war.

Davina and Klaus track down Mikael. Klaus asks Mikael to join forces with him in finding their common witch enemy, Dahlia.

Elijah and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) ask elderly witch Josephine (Meg Foster) to cast a spell where magic is prevented within the walls of their new safe house. Josephine agrees to do a traditional blessing combined with a disruption spell on the safe house in Algiers.

Klaus asks his vampire hunter stepfather Mikael about the items that Freya asked him to acquire in order to defeat Dahlia. Mikael reveals that there are three items needed to be combined in order to be Dahlia's sole weakness.

Freya performs a spell on Jackson to trace Dahlia's source of her power. When Freya channeled Rebekah's power, Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) finds out that Dahlia is channeling Freya's power.

Rebekah asks Freya to leave after finding out that her long-lost eldest sister is bonded with Dahlia. Meanwhile, Mikael agrees to join forces with Klaus since they both want to protect and free their first-born child from Dahlia's threat.

Freya walks down the streets of New Orleans when she notices that everyone is staring at her. Freya realizes that Aunt Dahlia is nearby.

Dahlia appears before Freya and warns her about what will happen to those who defy her. At the Mikaelson compound, Elijah finds out from Hayley and Rebekah that Freya is gone.

Elijah wants Hayley and baby Hope to go with Marcel to their new safe house in Algiers while he and Rebekah wait for Freya to return at the compound. Elijah declares that they cannot win this fight against Dahlia without Freya's help.

Klaus and Mikael ask Davina to perform a binding spell on a weapon in order to take down Dahlia. The items that Davina must bind include the soil from Dahlia's homeland, Viking ash and Freya's blood.

Freya returns at the compound to tell Elijah and Rebekah about Dahlia's move against Klaus and Mikael. Freya believes Dahlia will lure Klaus and Mikael into a sacred ground that has been stained by the blood of the innocent.

Klaus and Mikael confront Dahlia at a church but the two must survive the attacks from Dahlia's compelled followers gifted with a fraction of her power. Back at the Mikaelson compound, Jackson asks Aiden to help in his plan of taking Hayley and baby Hope away from Dahlia.

Klaus and Mikael try to take down Dahlia after defeating her followers but Dahlia is too powerful to be defeated. Freya and Elijah arrive to stop Dahlia from killing Klaus and Mikael.

Klaus takes the weapon and jumps towards Dahlia to kill her. However, Dahlia vanished along with the weapon that Davina created with the binding spell.

Marcel finds out that Hayley and baby Hope are gone so he asks his vampires to search for them. Hayley and Jackson are waiting for Aiden to show up with their getaway car.

Aiden did not arrive to help with Jackson's escape plan so Marcel is able to take Hayley and baby Hope to the safe house in Algiers. Back at the church, Dahlia shows up to destroy the weapon in front of the Mikaelson family and tell them that she only wants to get Klaus' first-born child.

The Mikaelson family heads back to the compound to discuss their next move which is to create another weapon that can take down Dahlia. Klaus points out that there is an ample amount of blood in Freya's body and soil from Dahlia's homeland.

Then, Klaus kills Mikael with the White Oak stake in order to have Viking ash, the third item needed in creating Dahlia's weakness. The episode ends with Dahlia using Josephine to send a message to those who will side against her.

Dahlia heals Josephine's hands and allows her to play the violin one last time before slitting her throat. "The Originals" Season 2 returns with episode 19 titled "When The Levee Breaks" on April 20, Monday night at 8/7c on the CW Network.
