The two episodes are newly colorized, but retained its previous vintage appeal, CBS announced. Its end credits and main titles are also going to be combined without interruptions between the two episodes, only at the start and at the end. The special will also feature materials from its "L.A. at Last!" episode which the show was not able to show since it first aired 60 years ago.

The one-hour special will star Lucille Ball as "Lucy," Desi Arnaz as "Ricky Ricardo," William Frawley and Vivian Vance as friends of the Ricardos, and Fred and Ethel Mertz as the landlords. William Holden will appear in "L.A. at Last!" while George Reeves will guest star for "Adventures of Superman".

"L.A. at Last!" finds "Mertzes" and the "Ricardos" visiting Hollywood, where "Ricky" is set to appear in a new movie. "Lucy," who appears star-struck, is jittery to meet a few celebrities up-close so decides to have lunch at the Brown Derby Restaurant with the "Mertzes." During the lunch date, she will meet "William Holden," but will ignite a major trouble. "L.A. at Last!" first aired in 1955 and became an instant hit.

"Lucy and Superman," on the other hand, will show "Lucy" and "Caroline Appleby"- a rival and longtime friend- scheduling a birthday party. While "Lucy" has promised to bring the "Superman" to the celebration, things will not turn out fine when the TV star could not find the time to drop-by. "Lucy and Superman" first aired in 1957.

"I Love Lucy" originally aired in 1951 on CBS.
