The official trailer of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" was leaked on Thursday, four days ahead of its reported release on Monday.

Immediately after the leak, Warner Bros., the production company in charge of "Batman v. Superman" went on to shut down all copies of the trailer published on YouTube, according to Vox.

The trailer, which was obviously taped off of a movie screen featured Portuguese caption, showed the end of the clip, the proved it was being watched by movie theater employees who are checking it for sound and picture-related issues.

After the trailer was posted online, fans went on an outrage and it was not because of the leak itself. Rather, fans criticized Ben Afflec's "Batman" voice, which was used in the clip, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Thousands of fans who were able to see the leaked clip questioned the film's overall concept.

According to the same publication, the problem with "Batman v. Superman" trailer does not have anything to do with the trailer itself, but the premise of the film that many fans already dislike.

The film pits two superheroes against one another and fans are having a hard time understanding why two superheroes - two protagonists at that - need to engage in a fight.

However, the publication noted that the hero on hero battle or concept is necessary because it is a theme that has not been explored yet on the big screen. 

As such, it would be best to wait for the official trailer of "Batman v. Superman" before judging the film in its totality.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated for release in the United States in March 2016.
