The daughter of "Mission Impossible" actor Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recently turned nine years old. In the past, she had lavish and expensive parties, but on her ninth birthday, it was a private yet memorable party for her and her closest friends.
According to Us Weekly, Suri invited 15 friends at the Gilded Lily in New York City. Holmes arrived early at the party venue to assist the set up of her daughter's private celebration. She was seen with lots of cupcake assortments - red velvet, vanilla and chocolate and decorated in pink and purple. The highlight were the cute cupcake towers with dozens of cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake SoHo.
Suri wore a blue party dress and she looked simple yet radiant like her mother. It has been a year since Suri last saw her father and she seems to be coping well, E! News reported.
The birthday celebrant and her fortunate quests has simple snacks - fries, chicken fingers and burgers. The kids were quite elated in choosing in the assortment of cupcake flavors available in the party.
Another insider revealed that music played a big part in entertaining the Suri and her friends. Holmes brought a DJ for Suri. Even Holmes parents happily danced around the Top 40 Hits with their pretty granddaughter and her friends. The affair was really quite simple.
The cupcakes were really what made Holmes happy. "This cupcake tower is going down, Go Katie, go!", Holmes cheered herself. She then took a snapshot of her eating on one of the cupcake towers. She shared the picture to her instagram account.
How is Holmes career right now? Well, she just recently returned from the Tribeca Film Festival where she made her directorial debut.
