Peter Lattimore (Jeremy Sisto) was dead; he also returned. Helen Goddard (Michelle Forbes) burned down the town hall almost three decades ago. Now, she wants to bomb the town dam to clean up her hometown - from the returned, from herself. These are some of the highlights of "The Returned" Episode 9.

The lives of the other characters are also spiraling out of control. Still, Rowan (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) appears to have forgiven Simon (Mat Vairo) for killing himself on the day of their wedding. Rowan marries Sheriff Tommy Solano (Kevin Alejandro) in "The Returned" Episode 10 on A&E.

"Les Revenants" Season 1 has only eight episodes; the series finale has a very different tone compared to where "The Returned" is, as of Episode 9. For instance, Helen's counterpart in "Les Revenants," only has a minor albeit recurring role in the story arc. The U.S. adaptation's Helen has big plans for the A&E finale.

Show bosses Carlton Cuse and Raelle Tucker both told the media their adaptation is going to be very different after the mid-part of its freshman year. They said that if "The Returned" gets a second season, it will evolve differently from "Les Revenants."

Titled "Peter," Episode 10 of "The Returned" will show the "mysterious end" to Helen's plans. Peter has to deal with the town's reaction, and Rowan's wedding to Tom will have some interruptions.
