During a recent interview with ESPN, Dr. Neal El confirmed that Pacquiao currently has a rotator cuff tear and said that the tear is significant.

The doctor also suggested for the Filipino boxer to undergo operation, but the schedule has not yet been confirmed.

In an interview with Rappler, Pacquiao revealed that he has been experiencing pain even before his fight against Mayweather commenced.

The father of five also confirmed that he used numbing agent injections to help lessen the pain he felt with every punch he threw while in the ring.

"It's not a steroid but it's legal here, for numbing. The problem is we were sabotaged," he said.

Pacquiao couldn't contain his disappointment over what transpired prior and during his match against Mayweather.

"I'm so disappointed because for the first time in my boxing career, more than 20 years, they hold my vitamins, they hold my water from the dressing room," he said.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao is currently faced with legal charges for not disclosing his injury to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

According to reports, perjury in Nevada is considered as a class-D felony, and is punishable by a maximum of four years imprisonment.

Pacquiao has not yet reacted to such reports but during his interview with the publication, he said that he pushed through with the match because he didn't want to disappoint his fans.
