Marvel Phase Two is about to conclude with "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and the upcoming "Ant-Man." After that, Marvel Cinematic Universe will make a blast to its transition to Phase Three, starting off with "Captain America: Civil War." There are some speculations as to who will form the two factions concerning the superhero registration act.
The events in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" strongly influence Marvel's future in "Captain America: Civil War," as per Cinema Blend. From the unified "Avengers," Captain America and Iron Man develop opposing ideals relating to the superhero registration act.
The superhero registration act is a law made by the government, aiming to control all superhuman activities. The act also wants super powered beings to make their identities known and they also have to report to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Captain America is not in favor of the law, while Iron Man is supportive of the act. Their contrasting views will lead to the "Civil War."
Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier are reported to join Captain America, believing that superheroes should not submit themselves to the government.
Black Widow has been together with Steve Rogers in the events of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." She also has beliefs that are parallel to Hawkeye's, making it likely for Hawkeye to team up with Captain America.
Scarlet Witch hates Tony Stark as the latter's weapons were utilized to kill her parents. Stark's weapons also almost killed her and her brother, Quicksilver. Falcon is highly likely to join Captain America's side, since he has been a good friend to Rogers in "The Winter Soldier."
Lastly, Sebastian Stan's The Winter Soldier is a good addition to Captain America's team. It is highly possible that the assassin will join the first Avenger as he might have regained some memories.
Teaming up with Iron Man are War Machine, Vision, Ant-Man, and Spider-Man, as per Joblo.
Rhodey and Stark do not always agree in decision making, but the former usually gives his support. Vision possesses J.A.R.V.I.S.' consciousness and it is given that he has been with Stark, since the first "Iron Man" film.
Scott Lang's "Ant-Man" is a student of Hank Pym and is likely to hold his mentors principle regarding the consequence of giving superpowers. "Spider-Man" is reported to reveal himself to the world in the comic books, so it is highly feasible that he joins Iron Man's side.
While there are bits of information that support the speculations on the opposing teams in "Captain America: Civil War," the film itself will be the one to unlock the revelation.
"Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 6, 2016.
