Jo is fascinated by the combat zone experience shared by April (Sarah Drew) and Owen (Kevin McKidd). She wants to try it, but Karev disapproves. When Jo hints she was not asking for permission, Karev throws a fit. This develops in Episode 23 of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11.

Jo Wilson has declined Karev's marriage proposal in the past. Earlier this season, however, Karev tells Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) he will marry his girlfriend. Now, instead of an engagement, the two are talking about living separate lives.

Unaware of another rising conflict between the couple, Meredith asks Karev if she and her kids could stay with him at the old Gray house for a while. Mer presses Alex to talk to Jo about it; she knows Jo has issues about Karev's quality time with his friends. Karev says he can do whatever he wants.

"You're My Home" could be about the Jolex couple. In the previous episode, Karev says he has finally established his roots in Seattle. He's home. Jo has yet to process Karev's reaction. In an emotional moment in the past, Jo said she feared that if Alex left her, she would lose a home again.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11, Episode 24 was written by William Harper and directed by Rob Corn. It airs May 14 on ABC.
