Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) players have seen new cards from the upcoming "Bandit Ring" set and another Pokemon card has been revealed by the Pokemon company - it is Mega Sceptile. It is also featured in a "Bandit Ring" commercial.

Small shots of Sceptile-EX, Mega Sceptile EX, Mega Sceptile Spirit Link, Registeel, Spinarak, and Ariados have been revealed in Pokebeach.

Sceptile is the final evolution of the Hoenn grass type starter, Treecko. In the trading card game, Sceptile EX is a grass type basic Pokemon card with 170HP.

Sceptile EX has two attacks - Sleep Poison and Assassin Claw.

Sleep Poison requires one grass energy and does 10 damage. The opponent's Active Pokemon has a chance to become asleep and poisoned if the Sceptile user flips heads.

Sceptile EX's second attack, Assassin Claw, requires one grass energy and another energy of any type. It does a base damage of 60, plus a chance to deal 70 more damage if the opponent's Active Pokemon is affected by a special condition.

Mega Sceptile EX or M Sceptile EX is the Mega-evolution of Sceptile EX. It is a grass type Mega-evolution with a 220HP. It has an ability, which negates all effects of the opponent's Pokemon's abilities done to Mega Sceptile EX.

It only has one, yet interesting attack - Jagged Saber. For a grass energy and another energy of any type, Mega Sceptile EX can deal a hundred damage, which is enough to two-hit knockout most Pokemon EXs.

The interesting part in Jagged Saber is the ability to attach 2 grass energy from the player's hand to his Benched Pokemon in any way he likes. More than the energy acceleration, attaching the energy to the benched Pokemon will remove all damage from it, making them hard to knockout.

Fire is the common weakness of Sceptile EX and M Sceptile EX, just like in the video games. Both cards have no resistance. Sceptile EX has one retreat cost while M Sceptile EX has two.

No translated information has been revealed for Registeel, Spinarak, and Ariados, so players have to wait for further updates.

According to Pokebeach, Sceptile EX is also set to be released in the Hoenn Power Tins, along with the other two Hoenn starters - the fire type Blaziken EX and the water type Swampert EX.

Sceptile EX joins other powerful cards in the "Bandit Ring" TCG set, such as the Unova ice-dragon Pokemon Kyurem EX, Johto's psychic-flying Pokemon Lugia EX, and the franchise's newest psychic-dark Pokemon, Hoopa-EX.

"Bandit Ring" is the seventh set of the XY TCG expansion and is set to be released in Japan on June 20. It is slated to be released in the United States as "Ancient Origins" on Aug. 12.
