Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the Naruto series, is reportedly set to issue a big announcement on July 29 (via Naruto Reddit), almost a week before the premier of the Boruto: Naruto the Movie - the culmination of the Naruto New Era Project - on August 7.

It's still unknown what the big announcement will be all about, but it may have something to do with the current flow of the story surrounding Boruto, Sarada (the daughter of Sakura and Sasuke) and the new generations of Konoha ninjas.

Through its first five chapters, Naruto: the 7th Hokage and the Scarlet Spring mini-series has so far provided bits of information regarding the current state of affairs prevailing in the ninja world along with the relationship between the main series' major characters and their children (such as Sasuke's complicating issue with Sarada).

Just as we knew Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura had already wiped out all the bad guys - including the Mother of all Ninja (Kaguya) from the face of their world, the Naruto spin-off revealed new enemies (Shin Uchiha and the Man with dozens sharingans (presumed as Shisui Uchiha) who threatens to disrupt peace anew and even hinted at the possible existence of an even superior evil than Kaguya.

Of course, these are just mere speculations. However, there's no doubt that Kishimoto's big announcement would surely shake things up moving forward. It's indeed a high time to be a Naruto fan again.
