Storm is speculated to be one of the villains in Bryan Singer's upcoming film "X-Men: Apocalypse."

According to Cinema Blend, The Weather Witch, who is going to be portrayed by Alexandra Shipp, is going to be one of the Four Horsemen of the titular villain Apocalypse. Storm can be seen by fans in the darker side, as Kinberg previously described the Mistress of the Elements as a "troubled character," who sees herself traversing the downward path in life.

The theory that views Storm as an antagonist came from a photo that Singer posted on his Instagram account. It features eight black chairs for the main cast of the forthcoming movie. The photo was captioned "Big day #Xmen #XmenApocalypse," teasing the fans.

The photo features Cyclops emitting his laser as he battles Storm while Jean Grey is safeguarding herself beneath a tin roof. The weather-controlling mutant is in black costume and in a Mohawk hairstyle. This concept art supports the theory that Storm will be a villain in the upcoming film.

Notable names include Raven/Mystique, Hank McCoy/Beast, Storm, Charles Xavier, Eric Lensherr, Alex Summers/ Havoc, and the titular villain, Apocalypse.

The characters noted on the chairs are to be portrayed by similar actors from "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past." This bars Apocalypse, who was not present in the aforementioned films, and Storm, who is to be portrayed by a new actress.

There is also as possibility for a Storm vs. Cyclops battle in the film, as a new concept art has recently surfaced online. The heroes may fight in an "Avengers-style," as per What Culture.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, , Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, and Lucas Till.

Aside from Shipp, the forthcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" will feature Lana Condor, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, and Kodi Smit-Mcphee. It is set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
