"Gilmore Girls" series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino recently hinted at the possible adaptation of the show for the big screen. She suggested that the movie could focus on Luke and Lorelai's story during the ATX TV Festival on June 6.

According to KPopStarz, the series creator was joined by "Gilmore Girls" cast members Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Kelly Bishop, Liz Torres, Jackson Douglas and Milo Ventimiglia, among others.

During the panel interview, Padalecki and Ventimiglia, who both played rival love interests of Rory Gilmore (Bledel), revealed that they were both rooting for each other at that time.

According to Ventimiglia, he was rooting for Rory and Dean to end up together. Padalecki added that he was rooting for Jess because he was both cool and sexy.

Meanwhile, Sherman-Palladino clarified that nothing has been finalized yet as of the moment. As of late, a reunion is still not in the works but if it were to push through, the series creator promised fans that they will do it correctly, Us Weekly reported.

Sherman-Palladino added that she is very happy with the fact that everyone in the cast loves each other so it is easier to ask everyone to come up if the reunion were to take place sometime in the near future.

However, she said that everything should happen at the right time, which means that the spinoff has to be in the right format and should be released at the right time. She also debunked rumors that "Gilmore Girls" has been picked up by Netflix.
