The premiere of "Suits" Season 5 is getting closer. Some avid fans are waiting to see Harvey's (Gabriel Macht) new secretary, while others are wondering how Harvey would deal with the Donna (Sarah Rafferty) situation. It turns out Harvey needs a shrink for that. Meanwhile, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) has to earn the approval of his future bride's father. (Spoiler alert: This update contains information on the previous season's episodes.)
The good news for fans of both "Suits" and "The Wire" is they would be seeing more of Wendell Pierce in "Suits" Season 5. Adams has spoken about filming plenty of scenes with Pierce, who plays Robert Zane, father of Rachel (Meghan Markle).
"We don't deal much of [wedding planning] this season to be honest, which I think is good. I don't think our show would work in like watching us in wedding mode," Adams told TV Fanatic, adding, "I'm getting a lot of scenes with [Wendell Pierce], a lot of really fierce writing with him and we're working together a lot, so I'm excited."
Mike and Rachel get engaged in the finale episode of "Suits" Season 4. The two have not discussed details, but shippers should not expect much. Adams himself hinted that detailed wedding planning and the "Suits" vibe do not blend together well. The future groom, however, has to get the nod of the father of the bride.
Mike's mentor has a lot of things on his plate, too. Donna leaving Harvey for Louis (Rick Hoffman) is one of the shockers that are expected to play right into the premiere of "Suits" Season 5. Macht told the media his character Harvey is digging deep into his feelings.
In the process of understanding his emotional design, Harvey is expected to get close to his shrink, Dr. Paula Agard (Christina Cole). Reports are saying sparks are expected to fly between Harvey and Dr. Cole. This makes many viewers ask: Will Harvey's journey into self-awareness pull him farther away from Donna?
