A lot of the features and details about the OnePlus 2 may not be confirmed as of yet, but the company has recently confirmed one feature: the processor. When the OnePlus 2 releases, it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1.

What this means for future OnePlus 2 uses is that they will be using the improved version of the hardware and software. According to OnePlus, the developers have considered many other options, but the speed and multitasking capability of the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 is what made it stand out, Android Central reported.

What's even better, however, is that using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 on the OnePlus 2 will not result in the device overheating. This is due in part to how closely the company had worked with Qualcomm engineers.

The planning stage for using the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 is extensive that OnePlus assures future users that the processor is compatible with the OxygenOS. It appears that the CPU processors that will be used vary in sizes, depending on their use within the phone.

This means that the larger processors will be devoted to gaming, which is considered as graphics-heavy, while smaller processors will be assigned to smaller-scale tasks like text messaging. And OnePlus has made it so that the ROM for OnePlus 2 can assign the processors accordingly. In addition, using the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 also does not sacrifice overall battery performance.

As for other rumoured details of the OnePlus 2, there are now hints of a possible release month and price for the phone. One particular Chinese website has listed the price of CNY 1,999 (approximately US$320), NDTV reported. This is a much lower than what was hinted for the OnePlus 2's price last year, but if this price tag pushes through, it will so far be the cheapest handset to carry the Snapdragon 810 v2.1.

Apart from the price tag, the website also referred to a possible release month for the OnePlus 2. This pointed to a possible July introduction to the public, though this should still be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, it does coincide with the end of the contests that OnePlus is holding for the OnePlus 2.
