It is said that the long rumored “Tekken 7” release date will be confirmed in the announcement. The game is expected to be launched at the EVO 2015 tournament in Las Vegas, from July 17 to 19.

The upcoming title will more likely take the players back to the classic mechanics, even with the two new features Rage Art and Power Crush. The developers are constantly tweaking the core mechanics of the game to provide a balanced experience for the players, according to Softpedia.

However, the announcement is speculated to be about the new characters, with Producer Katsuhiro Harada revealing that the “Tekken 7” PS4 and Xbox One version will have four new characters.

A recent trailer revealed Kazumi Mishima as one of the new additional character and the final boss in the game, with powers to change into a demon. Fighter Yoshimitsu, looking like a mix of an octopus and alien, was one of the most recent inclusions in the “Tekken 7” characters roster.

The upcoming game will have original character line-up of Josie Rizal, Gigas, Shaheen, Katarin, Lucky Chloe and Claudio, along with all the recurring characters.

“Tekken 7” had the worldwide launch on Mar 18, following the first arcade version release in Japan on Feb 18. Since then, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are said to be in the development stage, and will be reportedly powered by Unreal Engine 4.

The July 7 announcement is expected to be about “Tekken 7” release date for PS4 and Xbox One.
