The official synopsis for "Arrow" season 4 has just been released and it confirmed Oliver Queen and Felicity's journey into the sunset would not last that long. Additionally, fans are wondering whether or not Malcolm Merlyn as the new Ra's Al Ghul could help save Starling City.

According to Latin Post, "Arrow" season 3 ended with some of the biggest twists to have ever been featured on the show. Not only did Stephen Amell's character Oliver beat Ra's al Ghul, he also decided to hang up his hood and left the rest of the team to Laurel, Diggle and Thea.

Now, with the upcoming premiere of season 4, the CW confirmed that the series will kick off six months after season three's finale. The official synopsis also noted that Starling City may not really be safe under the hands of Malcolm as the new head of the League of Assassins, Melty reported.

Additionally, there is a possibility that Laurel, Diggle and Thea will not be able to take on the tedious tasks of ensuring Team Arrow will always set out to complete their missions. With this, Oliver will definitely return to play the part, if only to make sure that the entire world is safe.

Meanwhile, Amell previously said that Oliver will not return as the Arrow immediately at the start of season 4. He never said though that his character will not wear his hood once again. After all, what is "Arrow" without the Oliver?

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere on the CW this coming October.
