Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed he will back for "Furious 8." The "San Adreas" star established his character as Luke Hobbs in the three previous runs of the "Fast and the Furious" movie. But after a rough and tough day on the set as an action star, he looks forward to spending time with his girlfriend and daughter.

In the midst of his movie star success, blockbuster films, and stardom, Johnson gives credit back to where it is due, his long-time partner Lauren Hashian and 13-year-old daughter Simone, according to Esquire, whose August 2015 issue cover was graced by the actor.

"We talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren is not mentioned and my daughter is not mentioned," Johnson told the magazine.

The 43-year-old star added that having a "solid" home life and spending quality time with the two most important women in his life is one of the main reasons for all the success he has been "lucky" to get.

Vin Diesel also announced during CinemaCon that Johnson will most definitely be back for "Furious 8" and said that the producers are eyeing April 14, 2017 for the release date, Nerd Report learned.

The "Fast and the Furious" franchise is one of the longest running blockbuster movie series in Hollywood, with the previous sequel earning $1.5 billion.

Johnson's film character Luke Hobbs is a DSS Federal Agent working as alongside Dom Toretto played by co-star Diesel. Their characters, along with villain Deckard Shaw played by martial artist actor Jason Statham, will all be back for "Furious 8".
