"Orange is the New Black" star Ruby Rose confirmed that she is going to be part of "Fast and Furious 8." The actress shared that she auditioned for the movie's seventh installment, however, was turned down because she looked like Justin Bieber.
In an interview with The Today Show, Rose revealed that before auditioning for the role of Stella Carlin in "OITNB," she tried her luck in "Furious 7." The executive producers, however, told her that she looked too much like the "Baby" singer that they would have to turn her down. The actress shared that she did not mention the incident when they called her for in for a major sexy role in "Furious 8."
Early June, Rose and Bieber bumped into each other at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas. Before the highly anticipated meet up, the celebrities have exchanged playful banter on Twitter.
Apart from "OITNB" and the "Fast and Furious" franchise, Rose said that is currently working on other big projects. Although she refused to provide any other specifics, she mentioned that she is excited to be working on several projects at the same time. She explained that in the last two years, she had struggled getting an agent, even landing auditions.
The actress' popularity rose when she was cast as the new inmate Stella in the popular Netflix series.
Meanwhile, Christian Today reported that "Furious 8" is set to hit theatres on April 2017. The publication speculated that Eva Mendes will be reprising her role as undercover agent Monica Fuentes in the eight installment of the franchise. It was said that her character could cause tension between Dominic (Vin Diesel) and Letty Ortiz' (Michelle Rodriguez) relationship.
