The "1989" crooner Taylor Swift was spotted hanging out with "X-Men: Apocalypse" cast and crew. This has led fans to believe that the songstress might be one of the many newcomers in the franchise.

On July 8, 2015, "X-Men: Apocalypse" producer Simon Kinberg posted his photo posing with "Blank Space" singer Taylor Swift, and actors Sophie Turner and James McAvoy on his Twitter account. He captioned the photo: "Haters gonna hate."

The reason why Taylor Swift was hanging out with "X-Men: Apocalypse" cast remains unknown. However, speculations are running rampant. While some believe that the songstress is a big fan of "X-Men," others think that she might be joining the cast as one of the new mutants being introduced in the movie that is slated to release next year.

The photo created quite a stir among Taylor Swift fans who would like to see her cameo in the movie as "X-Men" superheroine Dazzler. Scroll down to read fans' comments on the photos.

For those unfamiliar, Dazzler, whose actual name is Alison Blaire, is a character born with superpowers and musical abilities. According to Movie Pilot, the mutant has the ability to change sound vibrations into light and energy beams. She had a successful career as a singer and gave several stage performances.

The aforementioned publication speculates why Dazzler for Taylor Swift. The website notes that songstress has an "uncanny resemblance" to the character. And just like Taylor Swift, Dazzler has been a singing sensation in her universe.

It must be noted that the associated persons are yet to address the rumours spreading like wildfire. Meanwhile, E! Online suggests that if Taylor Swift is not joining the cast, there is a chance that she might be making some music for the highly anticipated "X-Men: Apocalypse."

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the director Bryan Singer said that "X-Men: Apocalypse" is "a kind of conclusion of six X-Men films, yet a potential rebirth of younger, newer characters."

"This is the true birth of the X-Men. This is how it happens," Bryan Singer added.
