With Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" hitting the big screen two years from now, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actress Jaimie Alexander has shared additional details on her role in the upcoming superhero film.

Alexander is playing Lady Sif in the forthcoming "Thor: Ragnarok." Nonetheless, Alexander said that she will not be able to divulge it further, as she will get "shot."

Marvel envisions a transformation in its "Thor" franchise, as the films featuring the god of thunder seems to be less comical than the studio's other movies, according to Cinema Blend.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Lady Sif was initially made known to fans in Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" as the titular hero's oldest companion and lover. As a valued Asgardian soldier, she usually battles side by side with Thor.

Even though Alexander's character might not be humorous in nature, engaging with her background, along with her connection with the titular superhero, will help change the pace of Marvel's "Thor" franchise.

Aside from Alexander as Lady Sif, "Thor: Ragnarok" brings back "The Avengers" actor Chris Hemsworth as the god of lightning and "Crimson Peak" actor Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the Norse god of mischief. Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige is set to produce the upcoming film, along with Jack Kirby, Craig Kyle, Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Christopher Yost, who are set to pen the film script.

Other details on Alexander's pivotal role in the upcoming film, as well as other members of the cast, the plot twist, and the person who will sit on the director's chair, have yet to be revealed by Marvel Studio's soon.

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017.
