With Christopher McQuarrie's "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" hitting the big screen this month, lead actor Tom Cruise himself has revealed the reason why opts for "Mission Impossible" over other film franchises.

In his interview with Cinema Blend at the red carpet world premiere of McQuarrie's upcoming action film, Cruise said that playing the role of Ethan Hunt is what he wants at the moment. He added that becoming Hunt's persona in the big screen was the reason why he had not done any other film installment aside from "Mission Impossible."

Cruise also feels honored for being able to make five installments of the franchise. The actor added that "Mission Impossible" is an irreplaceable film as it has structures that cannot be found in other film franchises. He also said that all departments of the production team give their best effort to give excellence to the film sequences. For the actor, he finds those challenging.

"Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" follows agent Hunt, along with his team, as they face the anti-IMF group called The Syndicate.

Cruise's mission as Hunt was to dangle from the side of an air plane, which stands as the most dangerous stunt in his career. The actor's co-star, Simon Pegg, told New York Daily News that there was an extent of fear while watching him on the plane at mid-air, as how it would turn out was unknown.

Aside from Cruise and Pegg, the film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Jeremy Renner, Sean Harris, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, and Tom Cruise, among others.

McQuarrie's "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 31.
