Reports suggest that the 2015 Nexus 5 will not be the successor of Nexus 6, but is anticipated to have much superior features than the present flagship device. The tech giant Google will release two Nexus devices: one to be manufactured by the electronics manufacturer LG under the codename 'LG Bullhead' and will be called Nexus 5 (2015) and the other to be manufactured by Chinese manufacturer Huawei under the codename 'Huawei Angler' and believed to be Nexus 6 successor.

Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch screen with a resolution of 1,440x2,560 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocking at 2.7GHz. It has a 2MP secondary camera and a 13MP primary camera and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. Furthermore, the Nexus 6 comes packed with a non-removable Li-Po 3,220mAh battery, 3GB RAM and 32/64GB internal memory, GSMArena reported.

It is expected that the Nexus 5 (2015) will have much superior features than the Nexus 6 smartphone (except display size). The new Nexus 5 2015 has a 16MP rear-facing camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 5.2-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android M and 4GB RAM. According to a GeekSnack report, the upcoming handset will have a 3800 mAh battery.

Reports also suggest that the Nexus 5 (2015) will be priced under $500, which is lower than the price of Motorola Nexus 6 -- $649 for the 32GB variant and $699 for 64GB version. The Nexus 6 smartphone was criticised for its large screen and price.

Nexus fans who want smaller screen smartphones should wait for the new Nexus device.
