Jeremy Renner could be in Captain America's team in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming superhero film "Captain America: Civil War."

Jeremy Renner has played the role of Hawkeye in several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just Jared showed a photo of Renner heading into a hotel in New York. The actor was spotted on July 25, the day before his co-star Tom Cruise left a screening for his most recent film "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" and signed autographs for his avid fans.

An interesting thing to note is that the actor was seen wearing a black baseball cap with "Team Captain America" set in it. This could be a possible indication that the actor's character is going to be part of Captain America's team in the upcoming film. While fans can see the arrow-slinging Avenger clash with Iron Man's team, there is still a possibility to see the opposite.

According to Cinema Blend, the events in "Avenger: Age of Ultron" made Hawkeye realize that there are other empowered individuals, such as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, who are just hiding in the dark and waiting to show up themselves. With Fury's help in keeping his family concealed from S.H.I.E.L.D., he decides to stay away from the government, and this suggests a possibility to team up with Cap.

"Captain America: Civil War" centers on the superhero registration act, which was released by the government after a dreadful incident caused by super powered beings. The act obliges the superheroes, including the Avengers to reveal their identities to the government and the public. This creates conflict between Captain America, who is not in favor with the law, and Iron Man, who agrees with the law.

Along with Hawkeye, Falcon, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch are reported to be part of Captain America's team while Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Vision, and War Machine are reported to join Iron Man.

Directed by the Russos, "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016.
