The fourth installment "Mass Effect: Andromeda" of the "Mass Effect" franchise was officially announced at the recent E3. Developers have already confirmed that this new game would not involve Commander Shepard's story, Game Rant reported.

The series' writer Mac Walter has removed all Commander Shepard's influences on the new game. Walter expressed "Well, I can't get into details, but the idea is that we have agreed to tell a story that doesn't relate necessarily to any of the Shepard events at all, whatsoever," Complex quoted.

Lately, Chris Wynn the Senior Development Director and Jay Watamaniuk the Senior Creative Director have been giving subtle hints on how the development is going. In a tweet sent a couple of weeks ago, Watamaniuk mentioned that the images of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" are already out and that the crew is already in the process of concluding the production.

"Looking at new concept art today and giving feedback. #secretIP," Watamaniuk tweeted.

Wynn, on the other hand, also posted a comment on a quote tweeted by another member of the team, Ian S. Frazier, who remarked the difficulty involved in the process of developing aliens for the "Mass Effect." He wrote that the team has been creating tons of work just to be able to support the game.

There is no confirmation on when the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" would be released, but it is scheduled to be up for grabs by the holidays of 2016.
